After a late night last night, morning came awfully quick! But we all made it up and out of the hotel, a stop to gas up the motor home and a quick stop at priority #1! Ooops.... this Starbucks by our hotel is anything BUT quick! We forget we need to add an extra 15 minutes to all of our travel times if we are going by this Starbucks on our way. So a few minutes behind schedule, we finally make our way towards Sarah's church... Stonebriar Community Church. Chuck Swindoll is the Pastor, they have a LARGE choir and an even LARGER organ, thus my mom was in 7th heaven! It's a pretty small quaint church with just a tiny attendance, as you can see from below.
We even got to meet a few of the important people in Sarah's life at the young adults group after service. It was great to see and interact with the people that get the privilege of enjoying Sarah here in Texas (basically who we are sharing her with)! Yes, they should feel lucky! <3
We had quite the day planned....
Plan A) Starbucks, church, lunch at Rudy's, drop off littles and Grandma back at hotel for naps, head to Medieval Times show and get back to hotel for dinner and maybe a little swimming after that.
.........SCRAP Plan A! Tickets to 2.15pm Medieval show SOLD OUT! Ugghhh!
Plan B) Starbucks, church, lunch at Rudy's, see Sarah's appt, head back to hotel with littles, parents and Grandma, bigs come later with Sarah, go to 5pm Medieval show, leave littles at hotel with Grandma, grocery store, back to hotel.

This sauce just cracks me up! And YES, I did try both thank you very much! I don't mind spicy, but I think I'll stick with the Sissy... you know like, sister! lol
In between Sarah's apartment and getting back to the hotel we instituted OPERATION KEEP THE BABIES AWAKE! Some of you can guess what this is, for others let me quickly explain... Esther still takes two naps a day but while we've been busy sight seeing that's decreased to one nap in the afternoon and like a million hours at night to make up for the lost nap! lol So already Esther is exhausted. It's about 1.30pm and we still have a 35 minute drive back to our hotel. The bigs are driving with Sarah, our motor home driver is well driving, so that leaves Grandma and I to complete the OPERATION! Normally G & T would have been big helps in this operation but alas, it's up to the two adult passengers. We provided toys, entertainment, fresh window air and finally SNACKS! Why, you ask? Because if they fall asleep on the ride home for anywhere from 30 seconds to 30 minutes, there will be NO multi-hour nap when we get back to the hotel! Maybe that was the invention of the short power nap!?!? lol Whatever the case, a LONG afternoon nap is definitely a necessity for everyone staying at the hotel! It was a hard job and Reed almost caused us to fail with eye's so heavy a crow bar couldn't have kept them open but we made it! Hip hip hooray!!!
So yes, the highlight of the day for Grant and Tate was definitely seeing Sarah's apartment.... okay - NOT! (So sorry Sarah! lol) The highlight of the day was the Medieval Times show. I found out about it from my nephew Joseph and it was awesome, right up a boy's alley! Grant and Tate especially enjoyed it considering we just studied Medieval Times in school this year, so it is all very front and center in their minds and imaginations! :) We lucked out and they seated us at a table right in front. The boys were on the edge of their seats just about the entire time! It's literally a Medieval show complete with a utensil-free dinner, jousting, costumes, arena atmosphere, knights, horses, weapons, castle, king, princess and a wild tournament and not near as high on the cheese factor as I would have guessed! Yes, a boy's dream come true! Here's a few of our highlight photos...
That was quite an experience to say the least! And one that won't soon be forgotten! I have several more videos but blogger doesn't seem to like them at the moment, so I'll try again tomorrow to upload them. :)
We stopped at a grocery store and made it home before the littles ganged up on Grandma too badly. The boys shared about the night and it was an earlier night to bed for all! A contented and fun filled day to say the least!
Tomorrow meetings begin...
PS. as of this morning, the ugly stache was GONE! Hallelujah Jesus!!! My husband has returned! <3

This is lunch at Rudy's which is a well-known BBQ place in this neck of the woods. This particular location has a gas station out front and inside is comprised of plastic picnic tablecloths and folding chairs. You order your meet quantities by the pound... 1/3 LB, 1/2 LB or more, each side item is a separate item and then you garnish to your hearts content with pickles, onions, jalapeƱos, etc.... Here's some more pics and a little more about Rudy's from another blogger... Thursday Night Bites.
