So these are the curtains that I referred to previously that are in our bedroom. This photo is for my fellow rv'er friend, Chris Wheeler. I had intended to make new curtains for a few places in the tin can originally because you know those upholstered wood valences just.... well they just don't do it for me! They kind of scream O-L-D!!! ;P
{I'm sorry for the poor photo and this isn't the exact same window but heres an idea of the upholstered wood valences that got demoted in the tin can.}
However, I remembered that once long ago I had pinned a post for black-out curtains. Not really thinking that we HAD to have black out curtains in our room, but after taking a look at the instructions it didn't really seem all that difficult to add. But now that we have them, we LOVE them!!!! :D
So I made some panels alternating between burlap and the patterned fabric. Truth be told, I actually gave the Mr a choice of three fabrics to choose from and he chose this (of course I loved all three!). There is one more burlap panel that goes down to the floor that you can barely see in the 2nd photo. And for the record, they were ironed and straight when we began the trip! lol ;)
Although it doesn't look quite so in the photos, the duvet cover matches the turquoise in the patterned fabric and the euro size pillows on our bed flow with the burlap theme.
So this addition is one that I think we found on some kind of rv hack site and the Mr was kind enough to enthuse me by installing it. Actually he even had a buddy present at the time for moral support. Isn't there something about how many guys (or is it blonds?) does it take to install a light bulb or is that use a drill? lol At any rate, it was an entertaining project for all fortunate enough to witness! ;)
Okay, so in order we have the toothbrush jar, hand soap jar and lotion dispenser. I meant to put another jar where the lotion is but I realized it's roughly the same size and I just couldn't live without my Dani lotion for 6 weeks. So the matching score isn't as high as it could be but I'm okay with the sacrifice. ;)
However, a good friend of mine who happens to know just a thing or two about TEETH ;) was so kind as to educate us to the fact that when your toothbrush is out in the open where the throne flushes, your toothbrush might get the christening of the material being flushed down the throne. Okay - GROSS!!! lol I politely thanked her for her sharing her great and all knowing tooth-fecal matter wisdom with us but WHAT ABOUT THE CUTE RV HACK? I mean really people - priorities!!!! :D So I fixed the problem, put my toothbrush (which is actually only an electric toothbrush head) inside the cabinet and turned the other normal toothbrushes upside down and added the toothpaste - I mean that totally clogs the way for said 'matter' to not get down to the toothbrushes, right!?!??!?!? ;) See - glad you agree! lol
And of course, the boys are missing their beloved K9 bestie like crazy! But thanks to the incredible dog sitting skills of many, we get lots of videos and photos to partially fill the void for now. :)
Lastly, one of my favorite spaces in the tin can that just makes me smile with the words and colors! :D Hope it does you too!
