We joyfully arrived at my sister's house, just after my parents had flown in also. We enjoyed a scrumptious dinner and then hit the hay. Most of their house still had work and school the next day so we went to run a few errands and let the kids run off some steam at a local park. Except it wasn't just the kids that were letting off some steam, it was all of us.... as in we were literally sweating and steaming! lol That east coast humidity is just delightful! ;) In fact this park had very little shade so we all didn't last very long.
The eldest found a small portion of shade in one of the play structures so dad and him sat and read a book in order to endure the heat as long as possible.
Reed was so happy to see 'Mimi' even on the other side of the country! :D
And the big day that we were all there for.... Alex's High School Graduation from Delaware County Christian School! He has a big hairy audacious blessed life ahead of him beginning at Hillsdale College in Michigan next year! It's obvious God is going to use Alex in big ways.... can't wait to watch from the sidelines! ;)
The big boys and I sat in the ceremony and attentively paid attention for all 6 hours of it, (I PROMISE!) except for this ONE little photo! lol (ok maybe it was only 2 1/2 hrs)
Kevin and the littles, on the other hand, hung out in the lobby for all 6 hours. As you can see they went from silly faces to baboons hanging off stair rails to stickers to snacks to tired! What a great dad he is! And to think of the little known fact that he never wanted to have ANY kids! (oops... can of worms! lol ;p)
After graduation we headed to dinner with more relatives and girlfriends too (can't forget them)! :) But it was REALLY late and some of us didn't make it home in an awake state. Love that open mouth stupor!
There was even a day of horse jumping that we got to go watch! It felt like we should all be dressed up to the nine's with suits, big dresses and wide brimmed hats but instead it was 95 degrees with 80% humidity. lol So it was more like shorts & t-shirts.
Being silly is just a requirement for surviving life in this gaggle! So at least one crazy photo a day is a necessity! ;)
And there's no better day than when your biggest brother lets you ride his skateboard and tries to teach you how to do it!
On the way to Grandma & Grandpa's hotel pool to cool off from all the heat....
YES, you are pretty amazing boys but NO, you can't walk on water! ;) lol
Because 'BUMP' is not PC anymore!?!
