...day TWO...

We woke up Monday morning on the streets of Boise. No showers, just go with yesterday's make-up and put the hair up! Just "smile & wave boys, smile & wave," and go with it! :) Maybe that's the theme for our "adventure!"

Priority #1) find STARBUCKS!!!! This will be an ongoing #1 priority. Not only for the adult sanity in this traveling tin can but also in search for Starbucks city and/or state mugs.
OPERATION IDADO OR BOISE MUG.... fail! :(

Priority #2) Cabela's... supposedly this is like Disneyland for boys - little and big! We were in desperate search for a pair of youth-sized waders for an approaching fishing trip. But I do have to admit (shhh.... don't tell the Mr) that it was pretty cool in there. It was kind of like the fruits of a fishing trip, hunting trip and safari all wrapped into one! Just my kind of wildlife trip! Lol There was a slight dispute upon entering said store.... the chauffeur and I disagreed that there might or might not be one of these Disneyland-like stores in Portland next to Ikea. I swear I had seen it a million times every time we went to Ikea. Mr Chauffeur strongly stated this was NOT the case. He proceeded to meander on through the exhibits while I was determined to not lose this competition! But with further research (thank you iPhone!) I did have to somewhat, only somewhat (can you tell I don't go down easy?) concede that the store I thought was Cabelas, was really Carhart. They both start with "C," right!?! So I was close, right???? Lol

So on with our journey.... we finally got out of Boise at 12:30pm after also stopping at Best Buy. This means that it was now 2 hours to Twin Falls, Idaho. Lunch served swervingly (yes that's a word) on the road in our traveling tin can. Eventually we convinced the chauffeur to stop off at Shoshone Falls for a nice chance to stretch our legs. The wind was blowing pretty hard but according to the park guide it was only a slight gust. Apparently hard blowing wind meant trees bent over backwards. Not really what I wanted to hear by the steep drop offs.

Guess we were about to run a race!?! You got me, I have no idea what this pose was all about! Lol Maybe the chauffeur was about to lose his mind, or had too much pent up energy!?! Oh oh.... it's only day TWO! Dear Lord, please help us!

It was a quick trip in to see the falls and back out but a nice excuse to get some fresh air and see some beautiful sights!

Back on the road again, (might be saying that a few times along the way! Lol) and headed to Idaho Falls. Admittedly, I do not know much about Idaho Falls except that we had to travel through it and it also is home to the number one Papa Murphy's in the system (as in highest producing). So of course we had to stop and take a look....

Oops... wrong store! A PM but not the one we were looking for but a super nice crew member that pointed us in the right direction.

Finally... right one! A very nice store with a very nice manager who was very helpful and even let us take a few pictures.

Headed out of Idaho Falls and towards Jackson Hole which included a curvy drive in a snow storm! One little slept in their tent (that's for another post) while the other tried to sleep in his car seat - which wasn't very successful. But thanks to our amazing driver we finally pulled into our camp site in the pitch dark about 10:30pm. Not that we didn't have 7 people to get to bed ourselves but in the spot next to us was a group of people, not from this country, who were in a rented motor home (think big national RV rental place) with a broken furnace. And it was only 18 degrees! My amazing husband jumped out and helped them figure out how to hook up a portable heater so they'd at least have some heat for the night. Plus we found out the next morning they also had a baby in the motor home too! What an adventurous group traveling to a different country and then renting an RV!!!

We stayed at the KOA on the Snake River. It was a beautiful area!

Okay so these pics were actually day three considering we got in at 10.30pm but who's checking, right!?! :)

We are attempting to memorize Ephesians chapter 6 while we are gone. It helps to keep us focused and our minds on The Word. <3 We'll see how we do.... you can all keep us accountable to it! :)
